Indications
Vitamin A Retinyl Palmitate – Neutralises free radicals
Known as the ultimate normaliser in the dermaceutical sphere because it has multifactoral benefits on the epidermis and the dermis. The indications for its use are the following conditions: Photo-aging; fine rhytids, acne; rough and thickened skins; vascular insufficiency; thin and fragile skins; pigmentation issues e.g. melasma and chloasma; post inflammatory hyperpigmentaion e.g. scarring; dermographic skin conditions e.g. eczema, dermatitis; and rosacea.
Vitamin B Niacinamide (B3) + Panthenol (B5) – repairs barrier, anti-tumour, anti-pigment
One of the most widely studied and researched ingredients because it has proven physiological results in minimising pigmentation. When this vitamin is combined with Vitamin A, the combination makes for a potent anti-ageing and melanin-regulating team Niacinamide is also responsible for photo-protection and reversing the signs of UV damage and has anti-glycation effects which slows down intrinsic ageing of the skin. There is also evidence of increased elastin and collagen formation which creates added volume in the dermis.
Vitamin C Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate – advanced, stable lipophilic C: neutralises free radicals, stimulates collagen, anti-pigment.
Vitamin C can protect against UVR, reduce solar elastosis and decrease the incidence of skin cancers. This powerful antioxidant, minimises dangerous free radicals and inflammation. It can decrease the erythema with rosacea and decreases and acts as a melanin suppressor which is important for preventing hyperpigmentation and post inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Vitamin C promotes collagen synthesis, leading to a thicker, healthier dermis in the skin. The formation of collagen occurs in the dermis and is very susceptible to UV damage. Studies have shown that dietary absorption and topical use of Vitamin C promotes rapid wound healing potential and improves the density of collagen in the dermis.
Vitamin E Formulation stabiliser, antioxidant and healing.
Tocopherol (Vitamin E) is another powerful antioxidant widely used in serums for its multi-functional benefits. Not only does it stabilise the shelf life of your product but it also has powerful effects on the skin for free radical protection from UV radiation and reducing inflammation. Vitamin E is also proven to provide stability in epidermal barrier function.
